The Cambridge Framework
Each subject area follows the Cambridge Framework and Scheme of Work, designed to engage learners in an active and creative learning journey and prepare them with the skills ready to move on to the IGCSE.
The frameworks are flexibly designed to support schools to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, that suits the culture and ethos of our students.
The learning objectives are clear and focus on developing our learners’ knowledge and skills in all subjects, providing a firm foundation for the next stage of education.
The Cambridge Frameworks provide a base of core knowledge around which teachers can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider school curriculum and prepares all students with the skills and knowledge to move on to IGCSE.
Pre IGCSE – Year 9
The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including those whose first language is not English. The IGCSE curriculum is designed for delivery around the specific needs of our learners. Starting from a foundation of core subjects, it is easy to add breadth and cross-curricular perspectives. Encouraging learners to engage with a variety of subjects, and make connections between them, is fundamental to our approach. The Cambridge IGCSE offers a flexible and stimulating curriculum, supported by excellent resources and training. For learners, Cambridge IGCSE helps improve performance by developing skills in critical thinking, enquiry and problem-solving. It is the perfect springboard for advanced study. Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:
